Lakeville Classic Tournament May 12th & 13th

5/12/12  - The players should be tired, they played hard today.  Hopefully they get a good nights sleep, and come prepared to play hard again tomorrow.  Please be at the field on Sunday by 7:15am ready for warm-ups.  Our first game will be at 8:00am against the Bloomington Red team on AR9.  Assuming we win, plan to 11:00 and 2:00 championship.  If at any point we lose, we are done.  I am very impressed with the girls hitting, base running, and fielding.  No matter how we finish, I am proud to call these girls my team!

Saturday, May 12th - Pool Play

Game 1 - 9:30am vs. Silver Bullets AR4

Game 2 - 11:00am vs. Inver Grove Spartans AR4

Game 3 - 3:30pm vs. Baldwin WI Hawks Red AR4

Please be at the field 45 minutes before game time. All our games are on field 4. A link to the Aronson Park field location will be emailed to everyone. Sunday brackets will be posted on Saturday after Pool play is completed.

5/8/12 Practice Cancelled - 10U Blue

Due to field conditions and 40% chance of T-storms thru 8:00 pm, practice tonight is cancelled.  If it clears up, go outside and play catch with your daughters.  The girls should be catching the ball with their finger tips up, and reaching toward the ball.
 
When throwing, they should be sideways on their power line, point with glove, elbow up, snap and follow though.

5/3/12 - All League Games and May practices have been added

All League games (subject to change) have been added to the team calendar.  Please plan to be at games 45 minutes prior to the first game.  One hour time limits on games.  Second game typically starts 5-10 minutes after the first game ends.

June &  July practices will be added after the 14U and older girls games have been scheduled.  I will try to stick with the Tues/Thur practice schedule.  No Tues practice if a tournament weekend is followed by a Monday double header.  No practice the week of July 4th.

4-15-12 Email

Thank you all for attending the meeting this evening.  I have updated the team page with practice locations through May 3rd.  All the practices will be at Olson North with the exception of 4/23 which will be at Dred Scott 6.

The Jefferson/Kennedy High School game and BFA picnic have also been added.  We will watch the varsity game as a team, and use the game as teaching opportunities for the girls.

I have requested a gym for tomorrow 4/16.  I will try and check emails at lunch, and update the system and email the location change if we get a gym.  The system will definitely be updated by 4 pm if our location changes.

The roster that was passed around at the meeting was turned in to the association, so I am sorry that these communications are not being recieved at all the requested email addresses.  I will update my list as soon as I recieve the updates from BFA.

  • The field is located along the south end of the Jefferson campus, just east of the south end of the track/turf field. There is an opening in the fence along Heritage Hills Drive to drop off the girls, but parking is located at the Jefferson Activity Center - do NOT park at the apartment complex across the street.
